Class Description: Percussion has always played a crucial role in music and dance of the Middle East. Come and learn some of the more popular rhythms by playing them! Class will be taught on a dumbek (goblet-shaped drum), and a couple loaners will be available, but you can also bring your own drum. No prior drumming experience necessary; we will spend the first part of class showing you the basic strokes.
